New Release: Summerstorm Sparkling Rosé

Summerstorm will be available in our wine shop on Friday, November 9, 2018.

We are excited to introduce Summerstorm, our second sparkling wine!

Like summer in a glass, this sparkling wine is made with Zweigelt grapes from our estate vineyard. Zweigelt is known for its dark red hue but these grapes are whole-cluster pressed to extract only a small fraction of the colour. The base wine is aged in neutral oak puncheons before it is transferred to a Charmat tank for the secondary fermentation. The carbon dioxide produced during this fermentation is trapped inside the sealed tank and is dissolved back into the wine. This method produces sparkling wines with fine bubbles and a fruit-forward flavour profile.

Tasting Notes
This brut sparkling Rosé has aromas of strawberry, rhubarb and pink grapefruit. On the palate the aromas are intensified with a touch of sweetness before a refreshingly clean and dry finish.
