Canada’s Top Young Sommelier

We are thrilled to announce that our very own Max Brayer took home the top spot at the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs national competition in Calgary, thereby ascending the esteemed throne of Canada’s Top Young Sommelier!

We are so fortunate to have Max as one of our wine ambassadors at Arrowleaf. His journey with us began in 2021, as a bright-eyed newcomer to the world of wine, with no prior industry experience. Over the past three years, he has dedicated countless hours to the study of wine theory and to refining his wine tastings skills. He has amassed a wealth of knowledge that he eagerly shares with visitors to our tasting room.

As this country's Top Young Sommelier, Max will be representing Canada on the global stage at the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs International Young Sommelier Competition in Lisbon this October. We couldn't be prouder to cheer him on!

Even amidst his preparations for the international arena, Max remains an integral part of the Arrowleaf team. He is currently studying for his Wine & Spirit Education Trust diploma, but you can still catch him at Arrowleaf leading wine tastings and educational wine classes with passion and expertise.

We raise a glass to you and your accomplishments, Max!

Spend an afternoon learning from Canada’s Top Young Sommelier!
